The Golden Cup is an offshore regatta with three previous editions, born from the collaboration between Difusión Náutica, the Club Náutico Skipper and Marina Vela Barcelona.

For this fourth edition, which will be held from October 28 to 30, Marina Badalona has joined the project; therefore, by joining forces with Marina Vela Barcelona, the regatta will have two venues to host the fleet and organize social events on land.

The Golden Cup will consist of two races: a long regatta and a short one. The team that achieves the best result by combining both races will win the IV Golden Cup.

The first race, the Marina Badalona Trophy, will depart from said port on the afternoon of Friday, October 28, and will consist of a coastal route of approximately 60 nautical miles. Upon their return, crews will be able to discuss and celebrate their results at the dinner and subsequent party to be held on Saturday night at Marina Badalona.

Starting on Sunday, October 30, the second race, the Marina Vela Barcelona Trophy, will consist of a 20-mile coastal circuit starting in Badalona and finishing in front of the W Barcelona hotel. A route fully integrated into the race course of the next edition of the America’s Cup.

The regatta counts towards the Catalan Offshore, Solo and A2 Championship, as well as the Offshore Regatta Circuit. Considering it is the last race of the year, there will certainly be great competition to secure the final available points that will define the overall positions in both circuits.

The event also features the collaboration of the Club de Vela Badalona and the sponsorship of Trasmed and the maritime security company Ausmar.
