Becoming the prelude to the next Copa América that will be held next year in Barcelona. 

The final day of the Grand Final of the 69F Youth Foiling Gold Cup 2023, contested by the eight best Under-25 teams of the season, culminated a brilliant season. The competition has revealed the skills and determination of the young international sailors, and their talent crewing the 69F, a technologically advanced sailing boat, 6.90 meter long carbon fiber monohulls, which allows combining the highest levels performance and show.

The weather on the final day, with strong winds of over 25 knots, posed a significant challenge to the organisation, making racing dangerous and leading to the cancellation of all scheduled races.

Despite these conditions, the competition had already seen the three best teams emerge as the best performers of the 2023 Grand Final in the two rounds held in the previous days:

1 – Orient Express L'Oreal Racing Team 

Representing the French Challenger for the 37th America's Cup, the Orient Express L'Oreal Racing Team, with Enzo Balanger, Lou Maurniac, Theo Revil, Gauthier Tailleu and their coach Michel Philippe, was crowned champion and obtained the highest voucher of 69F for the season 2024.

2 – Silver Medal: Clean Sailors Youth Racing Team 

The trio of CJ Perez, Jann Schupbach and Lukas Hesse demonstrated exceptional sailing ability, securing second place.

3 – Bronze medal: Enzedder Racing from New Zealand 

Consisting of Sam Street, Leo Takahashi and Serena Woodall, the New Zealand team showed remarkable skill and tenacity throughout the competition.

All of the young athletes have shown their incredible talent, determination and ability to adapt throughout the competition. The challenging conditions of the Grand Final added an extra layer of complexity, testing their skills and making this event unforgettable.

The Youth Foiling Gold Cup 69F Grand Final is not only a testament to the sailing skills of the next generation, but also a celebration of their dedication to the sport and a step closer to their professional sailing career.

The Orient Express L'Oreal Racing Team and its competitors have further established the Youth Foiling Gold Cup 69F as a premier circuit for young sailors, laying the foundation for the future of sailing excellence.

The new 2024 season will begin in Miami, USA, with Stage 1 from January 22 to 26.
